Job Title: Head Coach, Track
Department: Athletics
Reports to: Athletic Director
Summary:
The Head Coach for Track at Three Rivers Community Schools, guided by the Athletic Director, will champion Wildcat athletics and overall physical fitness. Emphasizing skill development, they will cultivate a positive extracurricular experience that enriches the academic journey for our students.
Education and Experience:
- Demonstrated satisfactory performance in current position, exhibiting traits such as outgoing, positive, energetic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and without supervision. Must consistently maintain a professional demeanor.
- Possession of a High School Diploma.
- Ability and willingness to communicate effectively and positively with students, staff, administrators, parents, the community, and the press/media.
- Proficiency in teaching the fundamentals of track sprints, including regulations, rules, and strategies.
- Familiarity with facilities, equipment, and basic emergency first aid procedures.
- Dedication to the philosophy of fair play and sportsmanship.
- Commitment to supporting the school, school district, and athletic conference by attending related meetings.
- Availability for practices, competitions, and bus trips, including those scheduled on weekends. Demonstrating regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental job requirement.
- Eagerness to pursue opportunities for personal and programmatic improvement.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education.
- Previous track record of positive coaching and competitive experience in SPRINTS.
- Knowledge of MHSAA rules and regulations.

FLSA Status:
This is an Exempt FLSA position. Exempt employees are not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
